edventure Camps

An outback survival camp for one or more of the following reasons:

  • as a camp for out-of-control teenagers (that haven't yet offended)
  • as an alternative to community work orders for young people
  • as an alternative to detention for young people
  • as a camp for previous offenders
  • as a camp for repeat offenders who the justice system is having little or no effect on currently
  • as a camp for young people generally for their personal development

A program for their parents and guardians will also be developed when necessary to ensure a change in lifestyle and environment upon return.

The underlying purpose of this proposal is to give young people displaying anti social behaviour an opportunity to change their life for the better. The camps will be designed to invoke significant personal challenge within the participants. Strict policies and procedures will be developed to minimise any and all risks resulting from these camps. The secondary outcome of this program is to reduce crime in the community and provide a safer environment for everyone.
