An internal review of Karawara Community Project (KCP) during 2004 acknowledged that a significant shift in local demographics, changes in the way young people access and use support services, and changes in both the funding and policy context, meant our programs had minimal long-term effectiveness. This led the organisation to a point where we had to decide whether to dissolve entirely or work to reframe our scope and direction to maintain relevance and improve program outcomes. Unlike many organisations, we saw this as a positive opportunity to change and evolve our approach and structure in order to better meet the needs of the broader community hence the evolution to edventures wa.

In much the same way, when we work with young people we seek for them to adapt to their own environment and create change in a way to maximise their value in their own community.
